Euler method

Euler method (differential equation of the elastic curve) – a method for calculating displacements of beam systems, based on the differential equation of the elastic curve.

It can be applied to all types of systems, both statically determinate and statically indeterminate, with variable stiffness and under any type of loading. Unfortunately, it leads to the formulation of extensive systems of equations, which makes it difficult to apply to systems with a large number of spans.
